We buy our organic chocolate chips from Agostoni Chocolate, a family company that has been passionately crafting all-natural artisan chocolate for over six decades. Agostoni sources cocoa beans from farms in Central America, South America, and Africa that use environmentally safe practices and support a good quality of life for farm communities. Agostoni’s commitment to sustainable agriculture reduces the consequences of improper chemical use including serious health risks to farmers, contamination of the local environment and trace residues in the finished chocolate. Four drying centers have been established to improve cocoa bean quality and consistency and secure higher payments for farmers. All Agostoni chocolate and cocoa products are non-GMO, organic and fair trade.
We source our MacroBar tray sleeves from Johnson Printing & Packaging, a company who shares our mission of using 100% renewable energy for production. Utilizing Xcel Energy's Windsource program, they ensure that only clean energy is used from the start of the design to the printing of finished product. This designates them as an EPA Green Power Partner. They are FSC Certified (Forest Stewardship Council), which means all materials used to produce our sleeves were responsibly sourced from the logger to the printer. In addition to being FSC-certified, they're also a part of the SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) which means that all their fiber must be from non-controversial sources.
